On July 29th, the meeting on Petroleum & Petrochemical Production Safety and Emergency Management Technology by Chinese Petroleum Society was held in Yantai, China. Among the new equipment and technologies exhibited, Jereh presented the promising market development for the automatic tank cleaning technology.

“The cleaning operation used to be done manually with many problems such as low security, environmental pollution, low recovery rate and long operation time”, said Ms. Zhou, person in charge of Jereh automatic tank cleaning section, “so the new automatic tank cleaning technology is gradually recognized, solving the problems mentioned above. Large oil companies such as PetroChina, Sinopec have already issued documents for the gradual replacement of manual tank cleaning.”

Apart from the high-end equipment, Jereh also provides corresponding services including all-weather operation, tank capacity of 1,000 to 200,000 cubic-meters for crude oil, fuel oil as well as refined oil.  With the advantages of higher operation security, higher working efficiency and high hydrocarbon compound recovery rate up to 95%, the products have been successful applied in UAE and China. Meanwhile, Jereh is actively developing business in other key markets such as those in Middle East and Southeast Asia.

According to the safety requirements, regular checking and cleaning of oil tanks is a must. Supposing that a tank needs to be cleaned every 5-7 years, oil tanks needed to be cleaned every year will be around 20 million cubic meters, which expects a promising prospect for Jereh development in this sector, technology and services.
